You got…
Strategic roles at a startup!
You are an independent and strategic thinker and like to analyze all the options possible and all the outcomes of each option. This will help you be a great UX researcher, UX strategist, service designer, content designer, information architect, or product manager.
You like to see the bird’s eye view of a project, follow the end-to-end design process, and see how all the dots connect! You prefer informal communication styles and a laid back work culture, although you are a hard worker and are sure to go above and beyond when tackling daily tasks.
You like to take ownership of a variety of different aspects of the product being built and have no problem wearing multiple hats! However it seems that companies expect more these days from UX researchers and strategists. Startup UX researcher and UX strategist descriptions today call for someone who can do it all… UX research and at least wire framing for UX/UI design.
The competition to get entry level UX roles is growing and at times it can feel hopeless when it comes to pivoting careers or landing your dream UX job. Not to mention it can be hard to feel confident as a UX researcher if you are only learning via YouTube, Coursera, or the Google UX certification course. These options just don’t give you enough information and you end up feeling imposter syndrome at times.
It can be easy to start to doubt your capabilities. Are you truly a UX researcher? Is this the right career path for you? We’ve created a video on the state of UX between 2025-2030 and what you need to learn and prepare to land a 6-figure UX job today. Watch below!
